What a fruitful year 2014 has been at Community United Methodist Church!
· 29 kids and 8 adults attended summer church camp and the children’s ministry continues to grow in its impact!
· The church mortgage was paid in full and beautiful new signage was installed to welcome folks to the church!
· We welcomed 19 new members and celebrated 10 baptisms!
· An attitude of gratitude is evident in the missions outreach of CUMC. Over 175 folks participated in “Change the World Sunday” this month along with many other ministries throughout the year: Christmas Shoe Boxes, Community Food Pantry, KETA backpacks and school supplies, Kid’s Hope at Vigo Elementary, food backpacks for kids at risk, Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, Destiny Rescue from human trafficking and many, many more!
Our proposed budget for 2015 is a vision. Our faithful giving will make it a reality.
God has blessed us, individually and as a church, in so many ways. Will you return some of those blessings to the Lord in your giving through the church in the coming year? Generosity to Christ’s ministry is not about the balance in your bank account… it is all about the balance in your “faith” account! When we are faithful to return the tithe (10%) to God, God has promised to be faithful in pouring out blessings into our lives.
Stewardship packets have been mailed out to the congregation and are available in the church office to provide some helpful information as you consider an estimate of your financial commitment to Christ’s ministry at CUMC in 2015.
Sunday, October 26 is “Consecration Sunday” and you are invited to bring your “Commitment to Christ” cards forward for a dedication during 9:30am morning worship.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.
Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the flood gates of heaven
and pour out so much blessing that you will not have enough room for it.”
