Community United Methodist Church has many exciting activities available for both middle and high school youth!

Sunday School

Middle School Sunday School meets in Room 13 Upstairs - Led by Lori Graham, Frank Hays, and Scott Goodman - Middle School Students are shown how to deal with life's problems the way that God wants them too! Starting in the 2017-18 school year, the middle school class will be for incoming 6th and 7th grade students.

High School Sunday School meets in Room 15 Upstairs - Led by Youth Director Jason Collins, high school students (8th grade and above) share their everyday experiences and are challenged to continue to grow in their Christian faith.

Youth Group

A new combined Youth Group will be starting soon at CUMC. The group will be called, "Light" It Up - "Living in God's Holy Truth" is difficult in this day and age for youth (and adults). But in Matthew's gospel, Jesus tells us that we need to "let our light shine before men (Matthew 5:16)." How do we do that in this world? Join Youth Director Jason Collins and the CUMC Youth Ministry Team to discover more. Youth Group will meet every Sunday beginning at 5:16 pm in the upstairs youth rooms. A meal will be offered before each session. It will be followed by games, a lesson and by breakout groups and discussion for Middle School and High School youth. If you have any questions, let Jason know. We will start meeting for the 2017-18 school year on Sunday August 27. Our first series will be focused on superheroes of the Bible, particularly from the book of Judges. Hope to see you there!

Youth Christmas Party

All youth of CUMC will be invited to join Helping His Hands on Sunday December 10th at their annual Christmas store at the CUMC Pavilion. Youth will be needed to work in the craft area, take participants around the store to shop, help wrap presents, and so much more! Youth Director Jason Collins will be out there most of the afternoon, and he invites you to join him!

Following serving at the Helping His Hands Christmas Store, Youth Director Jason Collins invites the youth of CUMC to a Christmas party on Sunday afternoon at the home of Dennis and Beth Chattin (6451 E. Wheatland Rd). The evening will include a time of fellowship, playing some games, a devotional, etc. We will have a carry-in where high school youth bring a salty snack, and middle school youth bring a sweet snack. Jason will provide pizzas as the main meal. The party will be held from 5:16-7:00. If you need a ride, let Jason know and he can bring the bus. Hope to see you there!
